Calcite, which fluoresces an intense red-orange with Franklinite and minor Willemite. An extremely Long and Shortwave UV-reactive, phosphorescent old-mine specimen from the ancient mountains of Northern New Jersey, USA. This deposit of zinc-iron-manganese ores shaped by the Precambrian are highly metamorphosed and contain minerals in forms that exist almost nowhere else. These images were taken with a 254 nm Shortwave UV light. 3" x 2.25" x 2.25", 8.9 oz.
